Two for Tuesday!

I have two great kits to bring you today.

First, Deanna (Flower Scrap) has an awesome new kit this week on her blog called This Old Swing.  it is full of great bright yellows, reds, and blues.  I know you are going to love it!

Here is a layout I made with it.  These are my boys and a bunch of friends from the YMCA Summer Day Camp in our area last summer.  A little birdie also told me that there will be a quick page of this layout available on Saturday.

A New DDBN Kit and a Speed Scrap on Monday!

So, Nicole has another fantastic kit in the Stuff to Scrap store today.  This one is called Smile, and it is full of lovely colors that are just happy!  It’s got a ton of fun elements and shapes and was a lot of fun to work with.

Here is the layout that I made with it.  This is of a bunch of friends (some old, some new) from our trip to Florida in early April.  (Felicia & John – sorry – I didn’t have a picture of both of you – just Felicia!)  We had so much fun with this group of people, and they are memories I want to make sure to have forever!

Home Grown – A Collab from Flower Scrap and Scrappy Cocoa

So, this is one lucky lucky girl!  Deanna (Flower Scrap) and Steph (Scrappy Cocoa) teamed up to offer a fabulous freebie collab this week called Home Grown.  And I got to work with both parts.  **GRIN**  I’m so exctied – keep on the look out for more from Steph from me as well, she’s generously asked me to guest CT for her for a month or so!  (Color me HAPPY!)

So here are my layouts.  The first one is with Flower Scrap’s portion of the kit and the second is with Scrappy Coca’s.  I used the template by Mary from the OSS Template Challenge this month for the second layout.  It’s a great template.

Summer Sunrise from DDBN

So, a new kit in the great Stuff to Scrap store is not enough for Nicole this week.  Oh No!  She’s also got an awesome freebie called Summer Sunrise available on her blog.  Ummm..WOW!  This is such a terrific month to be her Guest CT.  Have I mentioned that before?  By the way, she is having a CT call right now, so check it out!

So, here is my layout with this kit.  I used the template from Nibbles Skribbles for the May Template challenge at the STS forum.  It’s a great two page layout and worked awesome for these pictures of our trip to Mexico in 2005.

Stuff to Scrap and a great DDBN Kit!

I hope you are as excited as I am that the new Stuff to Scrap store is opening on Monday.  I am so happy for all of the great designers that will be a part of it.  You really need to check it out.  Besides some great folks you already know, there are lots of new designers who are just incredible.  And if you need a little extra incentive.  Check out the great Grand Opening sale they are having.

 

Nicole has a fabulous new kit that I got to work with as her Guest CT for May.  It’s called Basic Beauty.  It’s only available at the Stuff to Scrap store, so be sure to grab it (especially with this great sale!).  The preview of the kit is linked to the store.  Here is my layout.  When my dad was about 7, the farm house his family was renting burned down.  They had to live in a small 15’ by 15’ shed for almost 9 months while a new home was built.  I can’t imagine living like that with my family now!

A New Kit and an Oldie but Goodie

This month I get to be a guest CT for Nicole of Digi-Designs by Nicole.  How lucky am I???  This is also the month that her new store, Stuff to Scrap is opening on May 11.  I’ve been following Nicole since the beginning as an awesome designer, and joined up to her original forum almost immediately.  Now it’s grown into a new store with lots of great designers coming your way!

So, this week I got to work with her new collab with A Work In Progress (Vicki) called Darling Buds of May.  It’s just adorable.  Below is a layout of my oldest son and his cousins back in 2001.  Then, click on the full preview of Nicole’s portion to whisk off to her blog.  Be sure to pick it up soon before it is gone!

 

FlowerScrap and Michelle both took a well-deserved week off from designing.  But Michelle asked us to revisit our favorite older kits from her!  Plus – bonus for you – we each made a quick page with our layouts as well!

I loved Michelle’s kit, Comfort, so I jumped right in to work with it.  Here is a layout I did of my two boys actually acting as if they like each other.  LOL!

Happy Days by Steel City Scraps

Gotta love this kit! So, I am currently participating in the CT Sweet Enough Challenge at Digital Candy. This is the last week of the challenge, and we were assigned to complete CT duties for a specific kit. I was lucky enough to get to use the kit Happy Days by Steel City Scraps which is exclusively available at Digital Candy. It is a great kit with browns, aquas, and pinks. I just loved the little silver accents the kit offered too!

I did two layouts with the kit. The first is a heritage layout of my mother-in-law's high school graduation.

Then, I also did a layout of these pictures of my son Jacob when he was 11 months old. These are some of my favorite baby pictures of him. Somehow, I managed to capture him in just the perfect way at sunset while we were on drum corps tour with his daddy at the time. They always make me smile!

Misty O'Brien - Guest CT Kit - In the Spotlight

I had such a huge thrill to be a Guest CT for Misty O'Brien on her new kit In the Spotlight.  Black and White kits can be really difficult to create and Misty did an incredible job!  I just loved this kit and had to scrap one of my wedding pictures for it.  (Remember, I was married almost 15 years ago - so no dated style jokes! lol!)
